In Shepley's Digital Archives you will find digitized archive material held by the Shepley Hub.
In the spirit of safeguarding the future of Shepley library, to keep the village's proud history for posterity, and to showcase our local businesses and community groups to potential visitors from around the world, the new Shepley Hub is building a digital archive which is accessible via our village website.
We'd like to digitize any documents, maps, photographs and other interesting artefacts which you feel contribute to Shepley's rich heritage and that of the local area. We're also interested in preserving any business records from bygone days. We want to share our archives with the world.
After all, your ancestors may have come from our proud little village!
Please contact email@example.com if you have any items which you'd like us to digitize..
Access to the Shepley digital archives is free to Hub members. Membership starts at just £10 per adult per year. We put all monies raised back into supporting the running costs of Shepley Library as well as other deserving community causes.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Village Magazine Digitisation
We are putting together a small project with library volunteers to digitise all the past copies of the Shepley Village Magazine. We're looking for local people who want to get involved in this fantastic project. If you are interested in local history, geography or simply want to meet new people this project is right up your street! We're also looking for people, young and old with digital skills to help drive the project forward.
