Kirklees libraries are delighted to present The Reading Agency’s 2017 Summer Reading Challenge.

Animal Agents

Animal Agents are a whole host of clever creatures, ready to solve all kinds of crimes! This band of furry, slippery and feathered friends is specially trained to use their skills and natural instincts to unravel mysteries with a huge helping of fun along the way.

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge takes place between 15 July and 16 September for children aged 4-11. The Summer Reading Challenge is produced by the Reading Agency and delivered by libraries across the country during the summer’s 6 week holidays. You can sign up at your local library and read books of your choice to collect special stickers and more along the way, all for free. We will be visiting all the local schools to deliver an assembly to encourage children to get involved. It has been proven that reading with children in school holidays helps to keep them engaged, and helps with their literacy skills.
