With special permission from National Archives we are now able to publish all Census returns for Shepley between 1841 and 1911 on the village website.

Making accessible the village’s Census records to local people, visitors and Internet users forms part of the Shepley Digital Archives project. The archives serve as an online local history and heritage centre for generations now and in the future.

Our agreement with National Archives requires us to keep Shepley’s Census records on a secure part of our website. You will have to register with the website, get a password and log in, to use the Census information.

Please note that all new registrants on the website are placed in a holding queue and manually processed in order to avoid spam.

The website editorial team is grateful to members of the Shepley Village Association and Shepley Hub plus local parish councillors, for their ongoing support with the Digital Archives project.
